Lazar Radović, a Montenegrin footballer who won four Yugoslav league titles with Partizan and represented Yugoslavia, died Aug. 19, 2026, at 88 in Belgrade, the Football Association of Montenegro reported.
Radović began his senior career with Budućnost in his native Podgorica in 1955. He made 71 top-flight appearances for the club before moving to Partizan in 1958.
Over seven seasons with Partizan, Radović made 210 appearances and scored 54 goals. He helped the club win the Yugoslav league in 1961, 1962, 1963 and 1965. During that period, he also made his senior debut for Yugoslavia and played seven times for the national team.
After leaving Partizan in 1965, Radović played briefly for Trikala in Greece before moving to the Netherlands. He spent three seasons with Xerxes and joined PSV Eindhoven in 1968, remaining there until his retirement in 1971.
Radović remained in football after retiring. At the Football Association of Yugoslavia, he served on its international committee and chaired its technical board.
