Franco Nuovo, a Canadian journalist and television presenter, died Feb. 8, 2026, of cardiac arrest. He was 72.

Nuovo was a long-term presence on Radio-Canada, where he began working in 1992. He hosted the Radio-Canada Première program "Je l'ai vu à la radio" from 2004 to 2011. In September 2011, he began hosting the Sunday morning show "Dessine-moi un dimanche," a position he held until one week before his death. Earlier in his television career, he collaborated with the magazine Six dans la cité for ICI Radio-Canada Télé between 2010 and 2011.

His journalistic career started in the 1970s. He joined Le Journal de Montréal in 1977, serving as a film critic and columnist for the publication until 2008. Between 1980 and 1986, he contributed to the magazine Québec-Rock, and he later established a personal blog in 2009. He completed his studies at the Collège Stanislas de Montréal and the Université de Montréal.
